The Blog of an Angsty Teenager

Made from 50% concentrated angst

I donated blood today!

It was a lot less painful than I thought it’d be, but I did it!

Last thing I thought I’d do today was donate blood. Really. My friend, Celina, asked me (it was actually more like begging) to join her. I had never done it before and I’m a bit of coward when it comes to needles but I was feeling… Adventurous, I suppose, and followed her.

The process was pretty quick. A nurse asked me a couple of questions about my health, the pricked my finger to check my iron levels and hemogoblin hoohaa, and before I knew it, I was lying down on a table with a needle sticking out of my arm.

It didn’t hurt, it was quick, I didn’t feel dizzy or sick, and I got to eat a lot of snacks afterwards. A LOT of snacks.

February really is an eventful month.
